This panel gives you an unfinished wood look that you can choose to prime and paint or leave "as is". Panels measure 8' wide x 4' high with 3" horizontal standard slotting. Slatwalls are made of 3/4" thick medium density fiberboard (MDF). Use gloss, semi-gloss, flat latex, or oil based paint to match any interior. A primer coat is recommended.
Our panels are recommended for LIGHT DUTY use only (i.e. hooks, lightweight items on shelving, etc.). If you require HEAVY DUTY usage (ie. hangrails holding jeans or jackets) then we recommend Aluminum inserts. Aluminum inserts are the only way to increase the strength of the slatwall panel. Panels weigh about 90 pounds each. We recommend mounting the panel to wall studs using at least a 2" drywall screw spaced vertically every 8" to 12".
